Before I begin I'm going to make a somewhat formal apology for all the shit I've done and caused and I'm happy to be rid of this server that I've clung on too for quite a while. Sorry about all of that. Ironically I haven't let go but when Varakor, my used-to-be sworn enemy, decided that he understands why I've been so god damned angry and triggered at everything is the time that something terrible has happened. Subjectively, terrible, because there may or may not be those who support these new changes to the server and I've stated before about normality which was promptly rebutted by Lady. What is normality? When in the context of our dear server it is sticking to lore and taking a conservative standpoint on bringing in new aspects. It is also doing what your character would do and not what you would do yourself because remember,  [i]"The best characters are made by people who understand that their characters are not an extension of themselves. In addition, making a unique or "different" character is absolutely not necessary by any means - being a "vanilla" ground troop is much better than making a psychic transgender retard."[/i] -A wise man from another server. Ignore, or don't, the second part but the first explains that you are in essence not playing yourself in game, you are playing your character. Problems arise here when bounty hunters who take in targets for cash or just kill are white knights on the server, you cannot be possibly truly good good. Getting back on topic and the whole issue of normality, Varakor and the rest of the people on the discord have enlightened me on the situation which absolutely frightens me more than any ban. Giving freedom of lore and creating your special characters is fine it really is but when people decide to completely abuse this rule and rape the boundaries of normality into submission is when it created a massive problem in my views. Lore is an important set of rules set by the genre of the server as it provides guidance, rules, and boundaries on how you can express yourself appropriately in the universe they have set until the floodgates are opened into allowing people to drag other things into this thing which then causes massive loop of special characters ruining the lore completely. If server declines because people cannot go in with their unique character then they should not have clicked on Star Wars Bounty Hunter RP on the server browser and made something out of lore when it clearly states this is set in Star Wars. The day the people in the discord begin to actually agree with my fucking retarded idea of a cult is good enough a reason to make this so please, from one person who has spent too much time here to another, please do something. [color=#95a5a6][size=30]gonna type up a response in a little bit just be patient[/size] reposting what i put in the discord: see here's the thing that i've always tried to do with my characters(Along with a few friends) backstory would depend on how old they were and [i]what[/i] they were so my ODST character from way-back when is 31, so he's seen some shit and is in his prime. and he will be different from another character i have who's 17 and from a rural area. Two of my own characters who I've had for almost a year have similar personalities, but because of things that happened to them they didn't stay that way. One was an AI who since her inception had been essentially taught only one idealogy/way of thinking, that to any [i]sane[/i] person would be rejected. But because it was all she knew, she latched onto it until almost her last breath. She realized too late that she had become a blind zealot(or a mindless automaton), and couldn't adapt in time. Ultimately her loyalties to something she knew was flawed became her downfall. The other(going off the ORIGINAL concept of her and her original use) was a woman who grew up on an [i]Iceball[/i] in almost complete isolation. She was jaded by people in general because since she was alone, she never had much in the way of contact/socializing/experiencing anything. She had been put into a bad situation and became bitter for it. Eventually, she was put into a position where she was [i]forced[/i] to not only work alongside other people, she had to [i]fight[/i] with them. Of course with this character she didn't like it at first. Because of her origins/base personality/experience. But over the course of when I played her, she eventually started to see that she was [i]wrong[/i]. All that became concrete in her mind when she was thrust into a bad situation with her comrades, where they all had to hide in a canyon overhang in order to survive. She learned than when you're stuck in a glorified foxhole with 30+ other men, you need to suck it up and deal with it. Her personality developed and she gained new morals. She [i]changed[/i]. Character development, flaws, [i]being wrong[/i] is something that is seriously lacking here. I don't really have an issue with the plethora of weird.. Anime fox girls, I'd just like to see them develop to be more than just what they are: Innocent animal people/glorified concubines. Every character can have so much potential if only the user can envision it. Not everything has to be a romance, not every character has to have a happy ending, not every character has to have a sad beginning or a 'cry4mepls' backstory. Creativity is ironically something we're in short supply of. You can do so much with a [i]Mando[/i] character, but for the most part I just see generic Karen Traviss esque Mandalorians that are just... Sad. Hell, the setting the server has right now should be a [i]plethora[/i] for secret societies, crime rings, and illegal activities galore. But we don't get that and when we do, whoever's doing it gets [i]shot[/i]. I remember yesterday(or the day prior) that someone tried to be a simple deathstick dealer. No harm no foul, it was just what their character did. They were in an alley owned by no one, and were just being a typical Nar Shaddaa dweller. hey got cornered and mugged by two 'good guys' and had anything taken from him. Fuck, even Pepper and her little band of young misfits were [i]slaughtered[/i] by everyone. Why? Because they were annoying and dealt in trafficking and drugs. Because why go to one of the [i]BEST[/i] places to be in the SW universe to do illegal things, that's just [i]insane[/i]. Should have talked about how all super admins/admins and their characters are protected by the extra white knight of no pk.  Gray and Monty SHOULD have died. They lived anyway.How the fuck do you even survive something like that? It makes no sense. Gray was given a chance to survive from Magnus with his bad medical rolls. He still didn't die. Anatoli I'm glad you finally see that characters aren't  an extension of yourself, that they are there own entity that is off from the person themselves. So you should understand why I was hurt so much everytime you've taken toward hating on me out of game for my characters and IC hating on my characters for no reason besides hating me OOC. I actually agree with you about all the young kid characters. It's a little much, but IC I roll with it cause it's what my character would do. I do worry though. I want to play bounty hunter rp not baby sit rp. Maybe a cap on kid characters would be good. Furries on there own are fine, I'd just ignore them if I didn't like them like I would good man Bitters back in the day. However all the other stuff you don't like about the server, you gotta deal with or move on. I'm glad you're trying to move on, because the server will never be like how it was in the past. You talk about how people are special snowflakes, but the further and further you distance yourself from the server and the more you talk about how bad it is and  the good ol' days you end up sounding like a snow flake yourself.  This goes for everyone who doesn't like how the server is going. Servers are an Autonomous thing. As it goes on things change. People running it do effect how things happen but the playerbase dictates the changes, the lore, and the feeling you get from the server. You have the ability to leave at anytime. You have the ability to gather your own community. Sure the old days where glorious to you, but you don't need to restore and replicate it. It's an impossible task. If the direction we take the server is truly a mistake then we will suffer the consequences of course, but you don't need to feel tied to the mistakes. You don't need to try and save us. You've made your choice whether or not the server is good anymore. And if there is a downfall you've proved yourself not to be the problem. So there's no need to stay. There's no need to pick out all the flaws. You're free.

I know I'm a bit late on replying to this, but I'm gonna go ahead and clarify my views for maybe people who don't get how I look at this stuff. For some background on me? I've come from YEARS of actually serious, restrictive, no-mics Clockwork RP servers. No, not HL2, Star Wars or Mass Effect mostly. These servers weren't like Revival, or here -- there was a high standard of quality upheld that just isn't present here.  On any of these servers? 75% of the shit that flies here, would never make it past the initial stages of character creation and approval. On those, the admins would LOOK at your characters and decide "hm, does this make sense? Is this retardedly edgy or overpowered or special in some way? Is this literally a copy/paste of a character from another universe?" You had to put effort into your character, you had to play your character seriously, or you wouldn't be allowed to play at all. Here? As of late people have been allowed to do literally whatever they want. I don't know if the admins are just somehow blissfully unaware of what's going on, but like what Lava said? There's fucking children walking around being more OP than most of the full grown players. I get it, progression, reward time spent playing, blah blah -- but most of these fuckers didn't do shit! They just sucked the dick of people with money and went 'pwease get me a roll bonus daddy' and got free +50s and +40s so that they, as a 7-12 year old, can go and kill everyone else or be completely safe in their fucked up fantasies of being a literal walking fetus in comparison to everyone else.I will seriously never understand why anybody with a shred of fucking self respect would lower themselves to the level of playing a literal CHILD, below the ages of even a TEENAGER, in a server based completely around bounty hunting. How did [i]any[/i] of the staff think that what these people do is fine?  Molindi, a clone off of Korriban (a planet that no longer is even populated or even KNOWN by that name, mind you) somehow has the DNA of every fucking major Sith EVER, and they clearly don't even understand the lore of those Sith very well! Because for example, they put Kreia AND Treia on their DNA. But, also, don't forget, they have shit like PALPATINE HIMSELF for some goddamn reason, despite how completely lore-shatteringly retarded that idea is. And she calls herself a DARTH, while being this dumb rogue edgelord who does absolutely nothing for the Sith or the Empire as a whole, she just sits around and slits her wrists and fucks Jasmine all day. Alaska.. oh, jeez, where do I begin? Foxgirls, born on FELUCIA, and say they had tribes back there? Nah, those don't fucking exist. It's a planet of literal death: flesh-eating diseases, giant beasts eight times bigger than her being commonplace. Someone like her who just sleeps around and eats corpses wouldn't survive a minute on Felucia. Other than even just Alaska, there's her dumb new character Fennec: ANOTHER foxgirl, with a name so ironically coincidental that it just might be that they used the name of a fox because they couldn't come up with anything else? It's a literal toddler, walking around in a skirt with little FAIRY WINGS on their back  and a plushie army that they somehow ADEPTLY CONTROL WITH A FORCE +1 as an actual efficient weapon.  Just thinking about this stuff starts setting me into a blind rage, so I'll leave it off here.. just.. for fucks sake. This server could be absolutely amazing with the amount of freedom you give people, with the amount of options of unique and good characters people could do -- but the staff let them do the most outrageously dumb and unoriginal crap all the time. I like this server, I really do, but this stuff is wearing out my fath in humanity sometimes, unironically. We need some kind of actual quality control to exist and be ENFORCED.

I'd like to personally thank all those who put in their opinions and thoughts and for a message to staff, I think we've all forgotten the definition of too much. Too much freedom, too much minging, and as much as I don't want to say this for fear of being banned there is too much staff inaction. It's time to do something about the community's concerns and I realize things will never go back to my personal golden age of the server but I want to make it a golden age for others and if that requires breaking a few personal fantasies for [b][i]CERTAIN PLAYERS[/i][/b] then so be it.
